  1. stress is a natural reaction of the body to situations perceived as challenging or threatening // burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion caused by chronic and prolonged stress.
  2. stress is more physical (when negative: overengagement) // burnout more emotional (disengagement)
  3. stress leads to anxiety // burnout leads to depression

Stress and burnout are two distinct experiences...but stress can lead to burnout.
